About

Our Vision

We envisage a world where all human beings can lead fulfilling lives in dignity and security, in harmony with the natural world.

Our Mission

Our mission is to make a positive difference to the lives and livelihoods of children, women and men who live in under-resourced and disadvantaged communities in the Volta Region of Ghana, ensuring that our contribution is a lasting one.

All our projects and programmes resonate with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals, recognizing that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.

We believe in building long term relationships with the communities we support. Our programmes and projects have developed in an organic way over a number of years.

We pride ourselves on keeping administrative costs as low as possible, especially in the UK. We have no central office or UK-based staff so after expenses such as our annual audit, all the money we raise goes directly to our projects in Ghana. Our donors and supporters can see exactly where their money is spent and are kept fully informed of all our work.

Board of Trustees

Dream Big Ghana Foundation (UK) currently have eight Trustees who work together to manage the organization on a voluntary basis. Several of the Trustees have volunteered with Dream Big Ghana NGO, and at least one of us visits our Ghanaian NGOs every year to see how things are going (trips at our own expense!). Our Trustees are:
